A Vietnamese father discovered the truth about his daughter after realizing she did not resemble any of his parents, according to a report by the South China Morning Post.
Later, a DNA test confirmed that he was not her biological father. This set him on a journey to uncover a hospital mix-up, as the truth emerged when his daughter met another girl at a new school who was born on the same date.
When his daughter, Lan grew into a teenager and looked more beautiful, he noticed she looked nothing like him or his wife. The speculation resulted in him conducting a DNA test, that confirmed that Lan was not his biological daughter.
The revelation of the tests caused him to grow cold towards his wife and daughter. He frequently used to come home drunk.
According to SCMP, one night after getting drunk, he confronted his wife about the DNA results and accused her of infidelity. However, Hong refused the accusations and relocated with her daughter to the capital city of Hanoi. This led Lan to change schools, where an unexpected discovery revealed the truth.
At a birthday party, a mother noticed Lan's striking resemblance to herself, suspecting a hospital mix-up. DNA tests confirmed Lan and her friend were switched at birth. The families now regularly spend time together and plan to reveal the truth to the girls, with legal action remaining undecided.
