Donald Trump Offers Elon Musk Role in Cabinet If Voted to Power, Tesla CEO Responds

To which the Tesla CEO has responded with a social media post which read, “I am willing to serve.” In the post, Elon Musk is standing in front of a podium with the words “Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE)” written on it. The DOGE also resembles the cryptocurrency Dogecoin, which originated as a meme.

However, the billionaire has not commented directly on the offer but his post on X raised speculations on his role in the cabinet.

Donald Trump also said that he would consider getting rid of $7,500 tax credit for certain electric vehicles, which could benefit Tesla that sells EVs.

“Tax credits and tax incentives are not generally a very good thing,” Trump said after a campaign event in Pennsylvania.

In July, Elon Musk endorsed Donald Trump for presidency shorting after the assassination attempt. "I fully endorse President Trump and hope for his rapid recovery," he wrote on X.

Trump is set to face Democratic nominee Kamala Harris for the presidential election in November.
