Israeli Firms Happy with Indian Workers: MEA

New Delhi: India said on Thursday that, according to information provided by Israel, "Most Israeli companies are satisfied" with the performance of Indian workers. The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) added that about 4,800 Indian workers have traveled to Israel in recent months.

At his weekly briefing on Thursday, MEA spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal acknowledged that some Indian workers initially faced language and communication issues, which have since been resolved. He described these as "teething issues that arise whenever any new initiative is launched."

He also stated that the testing of professional skills of Indian workers prior to recruitment had been conducted in India by the Israeli side, and the decision to recruit was made by the relevant Israeli agency. Additionally, the recruited workers had to undergo pre-induction training and professional tests before starting work in Israel.
