Amidst divorce rumours of Pakistan cricketer Shoaib Malik and Indian tennis player Sania Mriza, the former had sharerd photos with his new wife Sana Javed, a Pakistan actor, on the social media.
Malik and Mirza have been living apart for over a year now, but co-parenting their five-year-old son, Izhaan.
It may be recalled that in August, last year, Malik made a significant change to his Instagram Bio, switching from "Husband to a superwoman Sania Mirza" to simply "Father to One True Blessing." This change left his fans in doubt if he had divorced Mirza.
Rumours about their relationship being on the rocks have been doing rounds since last year, ever since Malik's photoshoot with Pakistani actress Ayesha Omar raised eyebrows in both countries.
Malik and Mirza got married in 2010 and it added a distinctive element to their public image being a cross-border marriage. It also reflected the fact that sports can transcend boundaries and unite people.
In April 2018, Mirza gave birth to their baby Izhaan Mirza Malik.
