US President Donald Trump and Iran Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi announced that the Strait of Hormuz is now fully open for commercial shipping following a ceasefire linked to Lebanon.
Trump stated that while the strait is ready for full passage, the US naval blockade on Iran will remain in place until a final deal is reached. The development led to a sharp market reaction, with oil prices falling and stock markets rising.
