More than 38 Million users shared the image of "All Eyes on Rafah" on Instagram in support of the southern Gaza region after the Israeli airstrike.
On Sunday, 45 civilians were killed and leaving hundreds injured in a tent camp in Rafah in an Israeli airstrike, hours after Hamas unleashed a barrage of rockets on Tel Aviv, which was intercepted. Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu called the Rafah strike "Tragic incident."
What does the Image depict?
The image, looks like AI-generated, with the text "All Eyes on Rafah" shows the tent camps, where 1.5 million have been taking refuge from the ongoing bombings. Humanitarian groups have been highlighting the lives of people living in the cramped tents without any humanitarian aide.
After the airstrike, the videos and images of the bodies and injuried persons emerged on social media which led to millions of people posting the image on Instagram.
"All Eyes on Rafah" slogan was originated from the comment of Rick Peeperkorn, Director of WHO's Office of the Occupied Palestinian Territories. He said the slogan after Israeli PM Benjamin Netanhyahu ordered Military for evacuation plans for Rafah ahead of attacks on what he claims are the last strongholds of Hamas.
Many celebrities have shared the image on their social media handles including Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan, Priyanka Chopra, Kareena kapoor, Tripti Dimri etc.
There are more than 100,000 posts on the Instagram with hashtag #alleyesonrafah.
