It pays to be bad
Deepak has proved his mettle yet again with a negative character in 'Thira'
His role as a youth communist in Vineeth’s 'Thattathin Marayathu' has caught the attention of the youngsters. The power-packed dialogue directed at the communist party chief, in the movie, gave goose bumps and it was one of the memorable dialogues in the movie. Now Deepak Parambol is back with a powerful performance in director Vineeth’s third installment 'Thira'.
Deepak, who is delighted with the success of 'Thira', talks about his role in the movie, “The role came to me unexpectedly. Vineeth called me to talk about this particular character in the movie. After the discussion the only thing I asked him was when should I join the team,” said Deepak, who plays a sex trafficker in the movie.
He said that the role was really exciting and totally different from what he had done so far. “This is my first performance as a villain. Being a baddy in a movie is actually a thrilling experience. Being a sex trafficker is in itself challenging. The one advantage of being in Vineeth’s movie is that you never feel stressed out. He asked me to perform as a simple villain.”
Talking about his co-stars, Shobhana and Dhyan Sreenivasan, he said, “I met Dhyan at Vineeth’s wedding. After that, it was for the movie that we met again and we are good friends now. Working with Shobhana was really a memorable experience. Each time I see her, her performance as Nagavalli keeps popping up in my mind. People see her as a very serious, person, but she was the coolest on the sets.”
