Perhaps this is his fourth avatar after composing, singing, producing and now, acting. Yes, we are talking about G.V. Prakash who has composed for more than 30 films including the recent film 'Raja Rani', is donning  the grease paint for a movie which is titled as Pencil. Apparently, the title suggests that the flick has a school backdrop and Prakash essaying a twelfth standard student. Giving him company is Sri Divya of 'Varutthapadatha Vaali-bar Sangham fame.
Directed by Mani Nagaraj, a former assistant to Gautham Menon, Pencil is touted to be a suspense thriller. Speaking about the film, Mani says, “Earlier I had made a few jingles with GV Initially, I approached GV only for scoring music for Pencil. When the producer and I met him to narrate the script, it struck me suddenly that he would apt for my lead protagonist role. The rest is all a known secret.”

Regarding the title, 'Pencil', he says, “The pencil is an integral part of any student and the advantage of writing with a pencil is that one can erase if something goes wrong. The story deals with a similar theme.”

GV, who was raved by one and all, including the bubbly Sri Divya, was not to be spotted. The musician-turned-actor appeared on the dais towards the end with a request to the lensmen and cameramen not to flash their lights on him as he was undergoing skin treatment and couldn’t be photographed.

Reacting to a query on how his wife, Saindhavi feels when he acts in close romantic scenes with the actresses, GV who has now lost oodles of weight, said, “She has already told me not to act in such close love scenes. I will also be choosy with my scripts.”
