Movie marathon for Harshika Poonacha
Harshika Poonacha has released two films last week
It's almost like a fairy tale. Even though Harshika Poonacha has been in the industry for a few years and has acted in many Kannada films, she always knew the best was yet to come. And it did on December 6, when two of her long-awaited films, 'B3' and 'Advaitha' saw the light of the day.
Excited to be playing the lead role in both the films, after playing second fiddle all these years, Harshika exclaims, “I've been waiting for these films to release ever since I started acting. I was just about 18 when I started acting in this movie and it's releasing when I'm 21. It's been a really long wait, but worth it as it has made a very good impact with the audience. 'B3' has been declared a super hit. It was supposed to be my third film, but it got delayed and became my 12th film."
She's now shooting for a Telugu film called 'Paani Puri' opposite Surya Teja and is also acting in a Kannada film called 'Maryade', where she will be seen riding a Bullet.
Talking about her role opposite Ajay Rao in 'Advaitha' and opposite Srikanth in 'B3', the bubbly girl, says, “Acting with Ajay Rao has been a learning as he is a seasoned star and has acted in a series of Krishna films. I play the don's daughter, who people might assume will be an arrogant girl, but my role in the film is that of an innocent girl, who is actually tormented by her dad and how the hero saves her. 'B3' is all about me and why the hero becomes a psycho. It's a very haunting film. I wanted to see the audience reaction and when I went to the theatre, men were abusing me and saying never fall in love with such a girl, she will cheat on you. That made me happy as it proves that I have done justice to my character in the film."
She's also been in the news for her brazen role and her kissing scene in this film. The engineering graduate, justifies, “I don't know what the hullabaloo about the kissing scene is all about. It's just a peck. There's a lot of intimacy between the couple and that scene is required for the script. I am fine with whatever the role requires."
