Hundreds of young men and women will congregate at the Shanghumugham Beach in Thiruvananthapuram on December 26 (Thursday) at 5 pm to participate in a programme to spread a message. A flash mob will be performed to spread the message — ‘Don’t do drugs. Dance instead’.

Among the big group of dancers from the troupe D-Heuristitz will be actors Govind Padmasoorya and Mia. “It will also be a promotion for the movie they are acting in – Ettekaal Second,” says Vishnu of D-Heuristitz. “We plan to bring in at least 400 people and have one of the biggest flash mobs in the country.”

The idea came to the makers and producers of the film when they saw how drug abuse continues to be a problem everywhere. “Young ones choose drugs as an alternative to find happiness. So if we can tell them that they can find the same happiness through dance, it would be good,” says Satish Babusenan, executive producer of Ettekaal Second. “Dance is universal, anyone can dance, even if badly. We don’t believe it will change everything, but it is many drops that make an ocean and we are doing our bit.”
