Designer Ritu Pande shares a few simple mantras to good health

  • The Insanity workout, a special exercising technique during which one works out strenuously for three to four minutes and then rests for approximately 30 seconds before starting the whole process over again, is the best way to shape up, get toned and lose that flab. At 40 minutes, it is not impossible to do and you see results within a week. It is one of the best ways to get back into shape and stay there.
  • Drink at least 11 to 12 glasses of water every day. Start the day with one or two glasses of warm water with lemon in it.
  • Do a juice detox, by consuming only fruit and vegetable juices, for at least three days, once or twice a year. It is a great way to cleanse your body of harmful toxins and start a healthy regime on a fresh note.
  • Eat four to five small meals, consisting of lots of green vegetables, a day instead of stuffing yourself silly three times a day.
  • Follow a simple but consistent skincare routine after consulting a dermatologist and stick to it. It is the one thing that will make you look youthful for a much longer time.
