New York: Remember those nail-biting days, when you weren’t sure the beautiful model you were chatting with online was real or just a virtual mask hiding a hideous creature or even worse a serial killer! Well gone are those days. A new dating app has been launched that allows people who are  looking for love online to hear their possible matches before they actually see them.

iOS app ‘Revealr’ plays a recording of a potential match introducing himself or herself first, and if the user ‘likes’ what he or she hears, the person’s photos are revealed, the New York Daily News reported.

The app, created by Guy Harrington and Paul Laight, from London, shows a pixelated photo with a 20-second verbal introduction, as well as name, age and location.

The app, which is described as 'fun and addictive' by the creators, is completely free and encourages people to like each other 'for who they really are', rather being judgmental about how they look.

This app is certainly very innovative in the online dating scene, and is very cleverly thought off.
