Mumbai: She has already done a film with Shahid Kapoor (Badmaash Company) and is currently wrapping up a biggie with Ranbir Kapoor (Bombay Velvet). However, Anushka Sharma, in her new innings as a producer-actor, is finding herself in a whole new professional space altogether. Her production, NH10 is slated to clash with Ranbir’s Roy and Shahid Haider.

A source says, “Since she is the producer of NH10, her call on the release date is final. Even though makers of Haider and Roy confirmed September 12 as their date of arrival, NH10 went ahead and booked the same slot. There won’t be any change in plans.”

In fact Eros, which is producing the film along with Anushka and Phantom, has gone ahead and released a statement about the same. Based on a couple’s road trip gone awry, the film has been directed by Navdeep Singh, who made the critically acclaimed Manorama Six Feet Under.

“Looking at how female-centric films are doing well at the box office nowadays, Anushka can well feel comfortable about NH10 where she plays the central protagonist,” a trade source adds.  However, whether or not it’s a wise idea to take on Ranbir and Shahid, we’ll only know when the time comes.
