Sekhar Kammula stands all alone
Sekhar Kammula, is the lone promoter for his Telugu film Anamika
Hyderabad: Sekhar Kammula, is the lone promoter for his Telugu film Anamika as the lead actress Nayanthara decided not to come in front of the media.
“She didn’t come for the promotions and it’s her policy. I don’t want to comment on that, but I am putting in my efforts to go here and there to promote the film,” says Sekhar Kammula.
“It is a beautiful film and a short one. My films are usually lengthy, but this one is around two hours. It is a different experience. We made a lot of changes to suit the Telugu audience.” he says.
This is the first time that Sekhar did a film with a big star like Nayanthara. Most of his films have been with new faces. “There are both comforts and discomforts. When I direct small stars, I can ask them to come in the morning or ask them for a shoot in natural rain. But with big stars, I can’t do that. They work during a fixed time slot and give good performances. I have to work more on new stars, while the experienced ones give good performances on their own,” says Sekhar.
He also confirmed plans for a Hindi remake of his hit film Happy Days. About the star cast, he says, “I am going for new faces. I will announce the film details soon once.”
