Mumbai: Lavish sets and exorbitant budgets have always been Karan Johar’s style. The filmmaker is  known to not compromise on the production value of his films.

The latest buzz doing the rounds is that Johar splurged a whopping Rs 3 crores on a song in his next production, Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhaniya. This is the costliest song that  Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt have ever  featured in. The song was shot at film city.

“When KJo heard the song, he instantly fell in love with the lyrics and tune and thought it had the potential to become a rage. He promptly proceeded to create a massive set and shot the song, for a staggering Rs 3 crores,” say sources from Dharma productions.
