Hyderabad: Harshavardhan Rane is excited about playing the solo lead in the Telugu film Maya directed by Neelakanta. While it is Harsha’s sixth film since his debut four years back, this is the first time he playing the solo lead. The actor is also excited about making his Hindi debut with John Abraham’s production house.

“I am lucky that John selected me for the character of Suraj in his Hindi film Satra Ko Shaadi Hai,” he says.

Harsha adds that he was selected for the film thanks to the South technicians working in Bollywood. “Because of them many of our Telugu films are remade in Hindi; also some of our young actors benefit from the technicians,” he says. In the Telugu film Maya, Harsha will be romancing Anjali and Karthika.

“I am playing a fashion designer in this thriller. It’s really great to work with Neelakanta sir, a National Award winner,” says Harsha adding, “When I entered the industry, I had only heard of them. I had never dreamt that one day I would work with the top directors.”

The actor says that he does not mind cameos. “I am ready to work in a film even if there are five lead actors. I always concentrate on quality work. I am not looking for fame or success or money. I just want to work with creative people. And have a smile on my face when I finish my shoot,” he says.
