For those who want to drink all day: Rhubarb liqueur is THE drink for you!

Coming from a country that uses rhubarb regularly in its cuisine, Rhuby Rhubarb liqueur is a Swedish pride only second to Absolut vodka.  Almost saccharine in the nose, Rhuby exudes the aroma of boiled rhubarb and custard.

Quite fresh tasting with the vanilla well judged so as to round out the profile without trying to steal the show, Rhuby is daytime liqueur that works best alone. Cocktails do in fact present a bit of a challenge for this liqueur, and as enjoyable as it is neat, it does not make for the most versatile mixer. One challenge is the sweetness which comes not only from the sugar, but also via the impression of sweetness that vanilla brings. This results in an easy imbalance, which requires a bit of bitterness to correct. So a good tonic water can do the trick to offset that pervasive sweetness.
