Mumbai: The moment you think about having safe sex, the condom comes into play. Condoms seem to get a bad rap. Some men complain that they fit too tight while others protest that condoms ruin the mood.

Condoms might have a regular shape, form-fitting or flared. Other types of condoms  can also include and also reservoir, plain, spiral and over-sized. In short , there is no standard length for condoms. As per official reports, there’s just a 1.5 cm difference in width between the smallest and largest condom. Adding to the same, Condoms can also have various textures, colours and flavours. Condoms should be put on before the penis comes into contact with the vagina (or anus or mouth). Sex experts also suggest that the condom needs to be removed immediately after ejaculation.

Some important things you need to remember about Condoms are as follows:

You need to check the expiration date before buying a condom. Store condoms in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Find out if the air stays in the package by doing a pillow test. Don’t ever tear the condom package with your teeth .If the condom looks damaged, discolored, or brittle, do not use. You can even add a drop of lube inside the condom for extra pleasure.

In order to wear your condom in the correct manner, you need to pinch the tip of the condom to leave room for the ejaculate. With the other hand, roll the condom to the base of the penis or object. Continue using this hand to guide any air bubbles out of the condom. By adding lube outside the condom, one can avoid excess friction that may cause breakage.

Once you’re done with your lovemaking session, hold the base of the condom as you pull out to avoid slippage.Last but not the least, throw the used condom in the trash, not the toilet.
