Kochi: George Edgren, based in Wisconsin, is not a very big fan of the Transformers franchise.

According to The Verge, he says, “It’s not like I needed to be there on opening night kind of deal.” However, he is now the proud owner of a cool 23-foot tall homemade transformer. Apparently, a friend suggested that he make one of his own and George took up the challenge. It took him over a month to build this tall guy.

What helped was that he is a metal worker who builds and sells lawn art, and building the metal guy was his greatest hobby. He did not have any definite sketches or framework for the project. He used a basic framework for the structure and went with what he had in his head for the artistic part of the toy.

Currently leaning over George’s house, Hardwire is meant to catch people’s eye with no certain future plans. Also, George might take up another interesting project next year. Until then, he has decided to stick with his yard art.
