An insider told this website, “ Generally, Amitabh uses his cars for 3-4 years and then sells it off. However, there was this Range Rover he had bought in 2002, which he sparingly used but didn’t sell it, as it was one his favorite cars. On learning about Sarod Sawant, Deepak’s wife, he decide to give that car to her as a gift.”

In the past, Amitabh Bachchan has also acted for his make up man, who turned producer with films like Ganga Devi, Gangotri, Ganga and Leader, which will release in August.

An insider revealed, “ The car was given to her a week ago. It is currently parked at their residence. Bachchan had sparingly used that car and its in top condition. Though it was parked in his garage most of the time, the car got its regular check up.”

When contacted Deepak Sawant said, “ This is too personal a matter and I wouldn’t like to talk much about this. But yes, Bachchan ji has given a car as a present to my wife.”
