Watch: Thai woman with world's biggest hands
She is the first and only person in the world who suffers from this disease
London: A woman from Thailand's Surin Province is believed to have the world's biggest hands that weigh half a stone each.
Duangjay Samaksamam suffers from Macrodystrophia Lipomastosa, a problem which causes enormous amounts of fat deposits to be distributed across her arms and hands, the Daily Star reported.
Samaksamam asserted that it was very difficult as she could barely lift her hands to comb or shampoo her hair.
The 59-year-old Samaksamam said that some doctors said that the only solution was to cut off her hands if she wished to walk around freely but she did not want to do that.
Samaksamam, who now lives with her sister and her niece, said that during the surgery the doctors didn't remove any tissue just opened her arm to check it.
Plastic surgeon Dr Eiju Uchinuma said that she was the first and only person in the world who suffered from Macrodystrophia Lipomatosa from shoulders to her fingers on both arms.
