Hyderabad: If at all colleges make any references to make-up it would be only to say ‘don’t wear make-up’, so a make-up workshop at a college comes as a big surprise. It is, in fact, happening for the first time in the city.
On Monday, St. Francis College for women organised a make-up workshop by city-based designer Tamanna Rooz.
“The workshop would help students in a lot of ways. While those interested in this field could take it as a profession, others could get the basics right while stepping out for an interview. Nobody would want to hire a shabby person. Also there are many professions that demand that the person they are hiring should be well groomed,” says Lt. Marie Thomas, placement officer.
The workshop covered personal make-up applications, how to get everyday make-up right, how to get smoky eyes, which she said suits every age group and is the current trend, and a few other techniques.
Tamanna also shared a few tips to keep in mind before going for an interview. “The important thing to ensure is that the face should not look tired or stressed out. So take care of two things get the base make-up right and ensure that you use an eye liner or kajal (applied properly) to make your eyes look big.”
Sakshi Kakkar, a B.Com student at the college says, “There are varieties of make-up products available, we need to know the right usage. That is what I learnt today.”
