Mumbai: Ranveer Singh is known for his ebullient personality, and that sense of energy and enthusiasm spills over into how he approaches his scenes as well. But while that usually holds the actor in good stead, we hear that it had the opposite effect when it came to a rain sequence he was shooting for the upcoming film Kill Dil.
Our sources from the sets tell us that an over-enthusiastic Ranveer wouldn’t stop giving suggestions on how the scene could be improved but ended up making things difficult for himself.
“KD’s director, Shaad Ali, wanted to have a rain sequence but Ranveer Singh suggested a hail sequence instead!” our source said. “Ranveer felt hail would suit the scene better and would be novel as audiences have not really seen it in Bollywood films before.
Shaad too loved the idea and so the team took 20 days to create hail. During the sequence, however, the hailstones kept falling on Ranveer’s head every time he tried to deliver his dialogues, distracting him completely.
The shoot ended up taking longer than anticipated, but the team did manage to wrap it up and ultimately felt that the additional effort was worth their while. The sequence is looking very good.”
