Aishwarya Rai Bachchan brings the smiles out

The actress gifted 100 children cleft lip free surgery

The actress helped bring a smile to the faces of children with cleft lips. A friend of the actress told DC that she had extended financial support to the kids and their families.

Mumbai: Aishwarya Rai Bachchan celebrated twin joys on the anniversary of her Miss World Title as the Smile Train goodwill Ambassador. She gifted a 100 children suffering from the cleft lip free surgery and also dedicated this to her father KrishnaRaj on the eve of his 76th birthday.

'The Aishwarya Rai Foundation' which is run and managed by KrishnaRaj Rai undertook the surgeries which were done in association with Smile Train, the world's largest cleft lip and palate charity.

At the event Aishwarya got a bit into the moment and was sentimental about not giving time to her dad because of motherhood. " November is an important month for me, my daughter Aaradhya just turned three and its my father's birthday tomorrow" she said.

She later also interacted with the doctors, staff, cleft children and their families. She also spent time at the post-operative ward interacting with children, sharing nursery rhymes and stories.
