Mumbai: Legendary filmmaker late Yash Chopra, the man who changed the definition of romance on the big screen, left us a month before the release of his last directorial film ‘Jab Tak Hai Jaan’ in 2012.
His wife Pamela Chopra at the announcement of 2nd National Yash Chopra Memorial Award was asked on the possibility of a biopic on the life of her husband. To this she replied, “A biopic on him, yes, we are thinking about it. It has not been decided yet but I am sure at some stage we will make a biopic.”
Yash Chopra led a life living his dreams of making successful movies and setting up his own studio in Mumbai. His son Aditya Chopra is now spearheading Yash Raj Films that is one of the leading studios today.
Yash Chopra had fantastic relationships with all the leading stars and was a foodie. While shooting any films, he used to make sure that the same hospitality is extended to all the crewmembers and not just limited to the stars of the film.
He had a daily routine of taking a walk in the premise of the Yash Raj Studios around 6pm and would even strike conversations with anyone he met. This included staff from the cafeteria or even the security guys. He was an inspiration to many and told his son Aditya Chopra to always prioritise relationship with people above professional work.
The big question is, who would the right actor to be cast in Yash Chopra's biopic?
