Hyderabad: The exhibition is thriving with stalls from all over India. While a few sell the usual, here are a few stalls that you should definitely not miss at the ongoing annual all India Crafts Mela at Shilparamamam that is on till December 31.
Hand-printed wall-accessories:
If you’re looking for hand-made prints that you can frame or wind chimes with an Indian touch, you should visit the various stalls from Odisha. You can also pick up wooden idols of lord Jagannath.
Pricing: Prices start at Rs 250 for each strand of wind chimes and the hand-printed work range from Rs 500 to Rs 5,000.
Odisha Sculptures:
From idols of Lord Krishna, Gautam Buddha to smaller ornamental pieces like turtles, this stall is a must-visit if you’re looking for statues to adorn your home.
Pricing: Rs 2,100 to Rs 33,750.
Paithani Saris:
The Paithani stall houses Maharashthrian silk saris, that are worked on for 1 to 2 years. The thread used can vary from silver to small amounts of gold.
Pricing: Prices can go up to Rs 7 lakh.
Terracotta Magic:
From lamps to idols of god, these stalls are a good option if you want to go in for something different and cheap.
Pricing: Rs 5 for a lamp and Rs 100 for an idol.
Other attractions: Metal works, cane art, art from Anantapur.
