London: A new survey has revealed that January 5 is "Affair Day" as this Monday is when Brits are most eager to embark on a kinky affair.

According to dating site for married people looking to cheat, Illicit Encounters , statistics show January is the UK's bleakest month for marriages and the time when most people either get divorced or start getting frisky, the Daily Star reported.

It has also been revealed one in every three married people believe they married the wrong person or for the wrong reason and Christmas and New Year is a time of family lockdown when there is no excuse for avoiding family time, leading people to seek extra-marital relationships, which rises significantly after the majority of the British public go back to work.

The website also found that on average 30 percent higher levels of activity during the winter months compared with the rest of the year and it is expected that there will be over one million active UK members, approximately 6 percent of the UK's married population registered on the website by the end of winter.
