Google Nexus 6 faces manufacturing defects with its back panel

The most-demanded Google Nexus 6 by Motorola is reportedly facing defects with the back panel of the device. Motorola had claimed that the rear panel of Nexus 6 is made of aluminium frame, but the series of complaints on social media platform proves it wrong.

The back panel of the Nexus 6 device seems to be unglued and comes out immediately. Nexus 6 users tried fixing the rear panel of the handset, but efforts seemed unsuccessful. There have been a series of complaints posted on Google+, Twitter, Reddit Nexus 6 platform and Motorola Support forum.

iouiu, a registered user of Nexus 6 has posted on the Nexus 6 Reddit forum, ‘The back seems to be peeling off from the sides and pressing the cover down does nothing as the back pops back into the same position as seen in the images. I think this is a manufacturing error with the glue becoming too weak in the Canadian winter while shipping.’ The user also posted the image of the defective back panel:

Chris Cannon, another disappointed user of Nexus 6 directed a tweet to Motorola Support stating: ‘My nexus 6's back cover is coming away from the body.’

Jordan Dunn also complained about the back panel of Nexus 6 on Google+ stating, ‘Damn, Nexus 6 back panel coming unglued! Had to take it to the T-mo store to show I didn't damage it but they're sending me a new one.’

On receiving a series of complaints about the defective rear panel of Nexus 6, Motorola’s Support forum acknowledged this issue and promised its customers to replace the back panel of the handset.

Google’s Nexus 6 phablet launched in October 2014, features a 6-inch qhd display and is powered by a 2.7GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 chipset. The handset offers 3GB of RAM and  is equipped with a Adreno 420 GPU.  The Motorola Nexus 6 features a 13MP rear camera with optical image stabilization and 2MP front-facing camera and is available for Rs 43,999 on Flipkart.
