Watch: When Barack Obama’s ‘Beast’ got stuck on ramp

'Beast' was halted by a ramp while it was leaving US embassy in Dublin in 2011

Mumbai: US President Barack Obama’s highly-secured bombproof vehicle referred to as 'The Beast' may be equipped to dodge the bullet or the missile, but there is something it couldn't handle on a ride few years ago.

In 2011, when the US President and first lady Michelle Obama were leaving the US embassy in Dublin, the limo got stuck on the exit ramp of the embassy gate. Blame it on the Beast's low bottom.

However, his security later clarified that the car "was a spare limo" and the vehicle was carrying support staff of the President. Obama was on a 24-hour visit to Ireland as part of his week-long tour of Europe that year.

The Beast is currently in India to take President Barack Obama around New Delhi.
