There’s something about white. Classic to the core and fashionably versatile, white works its magic in many ways. Designer Pawan Sachdeva goes on a white exploration, allowing minimal intrusion of anything non-white. White weaves a style story that is diverse, and allows you to play around and have fun with
fashion.
For starters we settle for an LWD (little white dress) sensually chic and more importantly, it can be worn in many different ways. You could wear it every day of the week, and yet flaunt a new look in each outing.
Layered Look
Is any fashion story ever complete without layering? For an exceptionally chic white layered look, go for a soft tulle in ballet tutu style and add a ribbon tied around the waist with a giant bow. The layer tale has a special fondness for shirts. A printed shirt transforms the feminine LWD into a boho girl look. Denim is drawing a lot of attention especially on the luxe side, stripes, printed and floral prints sound good. And trust the white shirt for creating a pretty white on white look.
Classic Touch
White can easily qualify as a vintage classic. To up the style quotient, bring a black bodice or waistcoat in the picture. The black addition can be sparsely printed in tea cup designs or animal motifs (since both are trending big right now). And, if you prefer a show of two strong colours, keep the black in solid too. Rest assured, we know too well, monochrome will never go out of fashion.
Leather Luxe
Who says the appeal of leather is purely masculine? Leather can be the typical game changer here. So let’s add some cowgirl roughness to the ultra feminine LWD. A spiked or cropped leather jacket perks up the white summer dress. And a leather peplum top can alter your LWD completely. And then there are leather shrugs. Hit the right button with shrugs in silver or bronze.
Belt It
Sometimes we don’t realise the importance of a belt, but this is one accessory that can play a major role in enhancing your look. Belt your LWD according to the occasion. As a day wear, add a skinny belt for a minimal look. For a night out, go for maximum drama with a broad metallic belt or one with a sequined dazzle.
Power Jacket
Add a sharp look to your beautiful white dress with a sharp tailored, printed jacket. You can colour block your look by adding a solid colour jacket, and prints too are always a good move. Bomber and moho jackets were trending big last year but now with the temperature on the ascent, opt for kimono-inspired light-weight trench coats in sheers and mulmul ala designer Tracy Reese.
Neon Splash
They are everyone’s last season favourite, and neons are in no mood to retreat. Neons are still going strong in S/S 15. So let’s bring the neons to good use while adorning that ethereal looking LWD. Create some spark of colour with neon accessories.
