Japanese 'cat island' has more cats than people

This island is a must visit for cat lovers. According to DailyMail, Japan's Aoshima Island is a paradise for cat lovers. More than 120 feral cats live on this island, where the human to cat ratio is 1:6.

The story goes on to highlight that the cats were originally brought in to kill mice in the island but they gradually multiplied turning it into a cat island.  
As can be seen the video, the cats swarm this little island where pensioners who sought a quite life after World War II reside. 
 
For cat lovers this is equivalent of paradise, but reports suggest the island is not a tourist destination. It must be noted that Hello Kitty originates from Japan, thus the existence of a cat island in Japan is no suprise.
