As far as workouts are concerned, ‘yoga’ is definitively dominating the fitness world, and here’s another incentive for you to try it. Doing yoga, apparently, increases orgasms. Although, rumours of this nature have been flying all over the place, scientists have finally revealed that yogasms are, in fact, a real thing. Kate Kendall, trained professional, and founder of Sydney’s ‘Flow Athletic’, was consulted regarding this after her students experienced some side-effects.

Kendall says that many of the postures are such that they induce orgasms and cause them to climax in those positions; there isn’t even any arousal involved! According to Daily Mail, Kendal was quoted saying, “It's more so about the positioning of the body in conjunction with movement and activation of the deep, pelvic floor muscles.”

‘Coregasms’ or ‘Exercise induced orgasms’ are a phenomenon that around 40% of women have experienced them, a study by University of Indiana reveals. “Ab” workouts and yoga inspired workouts do the best job when it comes to instigating orgasms. The ‘Journal of Sexual Medicine’ also says that yoga practice will genuinely help with your libido, orgasm-ing tendencies, and satisfaction.

Women, in the study, were given 22 yoga postures that engaged the abdominal muscles, pelvic region, and digestive and joint function to do. After about 3 months since they were surveyed, around 75% of them replied that their sex life had been much more satisfying since they started practicing those workouts.  This is because yoga requires a certain kind of presence and energy that is similar to the kind required for sexual activities and the poses that one uses during sex target the same regions that yoga does. It also makes us incredibly flexible; one becomes better at love-making.”

A few poses include the ‘Boat pose’ that targets the lower back and the abdomen, the ‘Eagle pose’ that deals with the inner thighs, and the root chakra, the ‘Bound Angle pose’, which opens the hips and groin, ‘Upavistha Konasana’ where one opens their leg as wide as possible and leans forwards. This increases blood flow. ‘Yogi squat’ is the next exercise and this stretches the groin. It is followed by the ‘Wide leg child’s pose’, which calms the mind and makes you more present during orgasms, ‘the bridge pose’, which targets the lower back and pelvic region, the ‘happy baby pose’, which sterctes the hips, and increases blood flow to the pelvis. ‘Abs with a roll’ comes next and as the name suggests, it targets the tummy, the thighs, and the groins. Finally, comes ‘breath work’, which calms one down, achieves being present in the moment, which in turn leads to much more powerful orgasms.
