People always question single, working girls: Taapsee Pannu
Actress feels that queries about marriage pop up because of social mores
Taapsee Pannu, who is on a high with the success of Kanchana 2, has two more promising flicks in her kitty in K’town. She was also seen in a cameo in the recently released Vai Raja Vai. The Aadukalam star, who has had her share of controversies and romantic link-ups, feels that queries about marriage pop up often because of social mores regarding single girls.
Taapsee said this while interacting with her fans on Twitter recently. When a follower asked why there was so much gossip about her marriage, she replied, “Because in India people can’t see a girl working for long. Marriage becomes a mandatory question.”
The Delhi lass, who enjoyed the online chat room, said that her criterion for selecting a film is its director and not the story or her character. This single girl, who would have had a marketing career if films hadn’t happened to her, signed off saying she misses Delhi street food nowadays.
