Mumbai: Actor and DJ Shilpi Sharma, known for films like 'Style' and 'Jo Bole So Nihal', is back in the limelight, this time due to the Salman Khan case. Shilpi had been the now missing witness Kamaal Khan’s live in partner, before he disappeared mysteriously. They had met on the sets of Jo Bole So Nihal and fallen in love. Speaking about her relationship with the singer-actor Shilpi says, “Like any other girl I wanted a future with him which I dreamt about, it wasn't a happy ending but it’s been 8 years now and I’ve moved on. What happened between us (Kamaal’s sudden disappearance) definitely wasn’t in good taste but I never tried to get in touch with him after he left. I’m in a happy zone now and wish happiness for him, wherever he is now. I don't hold grudges”

However, Shilpi adds, that she hasn’t given up on love. “It was a bitter phase for me but I continue to believe in love and am definitely looking to fall in love again and settle down in the future.”

The actress adds that she rejected films while she was dating Kamaal and was also battling other problems in the family, which made dealing with heartbreak even tougher. “Unfortunately my father multiple organ failure so I went back to Rajasthan to be with him. It was a very low phase in my life, after my father’s death I was completely shattered but in between Madhur Bhandarkar offered me a part in his film Heroine. I was paired opposite Arjun Rampal. That was a dream comeback. I don’t regret quitting films at that time, it was a conscious decision and I took up studying interior designing and also turned DJ. I have worked on remixes of Baby Doll, Chitiyan Kalaiyan and the latest being Kuch Kuch Locha Hai. The industry has been very supportive. I am looking to make a comeback into acting as well.”

The actress when quizzed about the Salman case though, prefers not to comment, “I know everyones talking about it but I can only say that I want everyone associated with the case to be happy and get justice. I don’t know where Kamaal is and have never tried to find out and neither have I been following on the latest developments on the case as I’ve been busy traveling for work.”
