Watch: Michael Fassbender plays Steve Jobs in first Apple approved biopic

The Danny Boyle film will hit theatres this October

Mumbai: The first 'Steve Jobs' movie trailer has landed online with British actor Michael Fassbender taking on the role of the Apple founder. 

The two-minute vocal heavy teaser comes just months after Universal studios announced that Michael would be playing Jobs in the Apple approved biopic.
 
Set backstage at three iconic product launches and ending in 1998 with the unveiling of the iMac, Steve Jobs takes us behind the scenes of the digital revolution to paint an intimate portrait of the brilliant man at its epicenter.

"I sat in a garage and invented the future," Michael Fassbender says in one of the voiceovers as the visuals in the trailer fade to black. The film follows three major product launches for Apple, that were specifically created by Jobs, up until the unveiling of the iMac. 
 
‘Steve Jobs’ is directed by Academy Award winner Danny Boyle and written by Academy Award winner Aaron Sorkin, working from Walter Isaacson’s best-selling biography of the Apple founder. 
 
The film also stars Academy Award-winning actress Kate Winslet as Joanna Hoffman, former marketing chief of Macintosh. Steve Wozniak, who co-founded Apple, is played by Seth Rogen, and Jeff Daniels stars as former Apple CEO John Sculley. Actress Katherine Waterston stars as Chrisann Brennan, Jobs’ ex-girlfriend, and Michael Stuhlbarg will be seen stepping into the shoes of Andy Hertzfeld, one of the original members of the Apple Macintosh development team.
