Zoya Akhtar seeks dad’s expert advice

Father-daughter Javed and Zoya Akhtar make a great team. The two apparently seek each other’s opinions on matters of work all the time. Says a source, “Zoya often shares her writing and scripts with her father. He has told her that in her first draft of scripts itself, he can experience the depth of her writing. Meanwhile, dad Javed too likes taking Zoya’s opinions on things. He feels Zoya has a knack of understanding another person’s perspective. This is the ability, which helps her in writing as well.”

So recently Zoya showed her dad the rushes of her latest, Dil Dhadakne Do, just to know his take on the same. “As always, Javed saab gave her a couple of last minute suggestions but was high on praise for the film.”
