Forget the age-old prints that have been sitting in your wardrobe. The new text prints come with whimsical touches. Celebrities across the globe like Deepika Padukone, Jacqueline Fernandez and many others have been spotted flaunting trendy dresses and tees with text print. Texts make for great conversational prints and can brighten up a look. Flaunt them from high street or casual everyday brands available across the city.
Carlton DeSouza, manager, styling, Myntra, states, “Sometimes fashion needs to be fun! The text print on tee's and dresses allow women to show their character or mood by the choice of text that's illustrated, while looking edgy and stylish at the same time. It may be a little youthful at times, but mix the tees with geometric patterns, bold prints, asymmetrical skirts or simple jeans or shorts and you will ace the look.” Adds Oindrila Dasgupta of eatshoplove.in, “Text-printed tees, skirts and dresses are in vogue. If there's anything that's sexy, chic, smart and comfortable at the same time, it's a text-tee.
You can wear them with your blue-hued denims or flaunt them with short pleated skirts, or better still, a cropped tee with text print paired with a long flown skirt.” Digital prints with argyle combinations to novelty text prints in vibrant colours can add a fun statement to everyday dressing. Pair the tees with linen joggers, jeggings or shorts for a casual look or try a text printed dress for a chic look. Kalyan Kumar of Splash says, “The text prints trend comes through across all the key moods and looks for men as well as for women. There are interesting t-shirts that are trending across the globe. Also, the text print dress is characteristic and much in vogue.” Men can also try casual dressing with quirky text on bright colours like dark blue indigo, wine, light beige and all over prints.
