Let our styles do the talking

We get TV’s most loved leading ladies to share their favourite style statements and those they’d rather avoid.

Aparna Dixit: The only style statement is being comfortable. Your comfort brings confidence and style. And if your are confident, you can carry off anything. I appreciate the sense of style in others but I don’t emulate them necessarily. What may look hot on someone may not suit me and vice versa. It’s best to look gorgeous in your own way.

Kirtida Mistry: I do not follow any trend. I believe in wearing outfits that are comfortable for me. I love wearing dresses, especially in neon shades and three-fourth pants. Something I dislike and always try to avoid is a pair of jeggings. That’s not my style at all.

Iris Maity: I find it very fascinating that we keep revisiting style trends every decade. I love wearing tops and denims that fit perfectly. There’s nothing that I dislike as such, but I think one should wear an outfit only if he or she can carry it off. For me, dressing is a way of self-expression. So I believe it is important to dress well and look presentable.

Nikita Dutta: Fashion has evolved so much over the years. For the longest time, high-waist pants with striped crop tops, checks and floral prints have been my favourite. I do not detest a fashion statement as such because every thing really depends on your body type. Something may not look good on me, but someone else could carry it off fabulously. But, if I had to put my finger on something that I feel needs to go, that would be peplum skirts and dresses. I think it’s high time they made an exit.
