Tirupati-based artist Ramesh Gorjala, famous for bringing alive mythological stories about Hindu Gods on canvas, is currently busy completing a massive art work based on the divine mother of cows Kamadhenu for Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Mr Modi first came across Gorjala’s works when actor Mohan Babu went to invite him for his son, Manoj’s wedding. The PM was, according to sources, very impressed with the wedding invite which was designed by the artist and wanted to know more about his work.

Mohan Babu then showed the PM images of some of the works he had of the artist at home. While going through the images, Mr Modi really liked a work, which was based on Kamadhenu. Kamadhenu is known as the “cow of plenty” and it is believed she provides her owner with whatever he or she desires.

An honoured Gorjala revealed that he is busy telling Kamadhenu’s story on a 6x4 ft canvas for Mr Modi and adds that he was thrilled when Mohan Babu personally got in touch with him to reveal the PM’s wish.

“It will take at least a month to finish. After it is completed, I will go to Delhi along with the Manchus to present the painting to Mr Modi,” said Gorjala. Along with this painting, Gorjala is also taking a few more works based onVishnu and Krishna too, as gifts.

Meanwhile, as Gorjala busies himself with the work for Mr Modi, actor Vishnu Manchu too is busy with the completion of the Vishnu Manchu Art Foundation in Tirupati. The actor, whose family owns educational institutes in Tirupati, now wants to open an art museum in the temple town.

Talking about his foundation, Vishnu Manchu said, “The art foundation has won the bid to place art works at the Tirupati’s upcoming international airport. This is a very prestigious responsibility and we’re looking forward to the project”.
