Rita Ora joins X Factor
Rita, 24, will be leaving her position as a coach on The Voice after just one season
It has been confirmed now that Rita Ora and Nick Grimshaw will be joining Simon Cowell on The X Factor for this year’s series.
Cheryl Fernandez-Versini will also be returning to the panel, completing the line-up and meaning last year’s judges Louis Walsh and Mel B are out.
The news of the new line-up was revealed on The X Factor’s official Twitter page on Tuesday, along with a picture of Rita, Nick and Cheryl smiling happily together after their first meeting on Monday.
Rita, 24, will be leaving her position as a coach on The Voice after just one season.
Speaking about her brand new role, Rita said, “I am excited to be coming back to The X Factor – I had a ball here in 2012. This is a journey I can’t wait to embark on to find some talented singers. It’s the new generation taking over. Booooom.”
It had also been suggested that she was offered a £1.5 million contract, as well as luxury travel and unlimited clothing in order to entice her away from The Voice.
