Exclusive: Vishesh Bhatt to direct ‘Sadak 2’
Mukesh Bhatt's son is attempting to recreate the magic of the original film
Vishesh Films, which is known to make movies that stand out from other production houses, is going through a rough phase. None of the films that they have made in the recent past have struck a chord with the audience and have only fared average. Their last film, 'Hamari Adhuri Kahani', opened to decent box office numbers but the word of mouth hasn’t helped the film at all. It is reliably learnt that they are now going back to some of the old iconic movies directed by Mahesh Bhatt and considering remaking them.
A source revealed, “Both Mukesh and Mahesh feel Vishesh is the driving force of the company and have pined up all their hopes on him. After all Vishesh is the flag bearer and will take the vision ahead. They are planning to remake Sadak which originally had Sanjay and Pooja Bhatt in the lead.”

Pooja Bhatt gave one of her best performances in 'Sadak'.
'Sadak', directed by Mahesh Bhatt, was one of the top grossers of 1991 and was declared a hit. The music composed by Nadeem-Shravan still connects with the current generation for its soulful music.
The source further added, “ Vishesh Bhatt has decided to direct the second instalment of this film. Earlier Mohit was given the option to remake 'Dil Hai Ki Manta Nahi' but he decided to make 'Hamari Adhuri Kahani' instead. Vishesh has already started working on the idea and it will take some time before the final draft is ready. The casting will be crucial as they need an actor who can match up to the intensity of Sanjay Dutt.”
Late Sadashiv Amrapurkar had won the Best Villain award for this film. Son of Mukesh Bhatt, Vishesh made his debut as a director with 'Murder 3'.
