Never really thought of a Bollywood role: Cindy Crawford
On a trip to India after 15 years, supermodel Cindy Crawford talks about life and more
Mumbai: Cindy Crawford, who has been an icon in fashion industry worldwide, recently took time out from her busy schedule and landed in Mumbai after she got done promoting the Omega Constellation ‘Pluma’ collection in Hong Kong. She makes a trip to India after 15 years and she says this time is special.
“I have come to India before but this time it’s different. I have brought my kids with me. So we just arrived last night and all we did was be in the hotel, get settled, today I am working and my kids are out with my friend who also came with her children. It’s pouring and they are getting wet and tomorrow we have a plan to tour Dharavi but I guess it depends on the weather.”
Smitten and surprised by the Mumbai rains, the supermodel is delighted to travel around the world and meet new people. “One of the greatest gifts of travel is to expose yourself, and especially now my kids, to the world and they should see that even though we are different people are all the same no matter where you go.”
Acting, admits Cindy, is just not for her. Ask her if ever she thought of doing a Hindi film and she says, “(Gasps) Wow… Um… I have never really thought about that. I did a few movies in the United States and I am much more comfortable being myself than being someone else. I don’t get nervous in front of the camera when I am myself. When I did MTV being Cindy, I was not nervous but to act I am just not comfortable.”
The American model is now prepping up for the release of her upcoming novel which has her pictures and essays about the lessons she learnt along the way.
