"For the ladies...who pamper their dads!" , this tagline of a print advertisement for lingerie brand Triumph has been drawing a lot of flak across social media. The popular underwear and lingerie manufacturer promised 15 per cent savings at their Crescat store on June 21 on the occasion of Father's Day. Though the original source of the advertisment cannot be pointed out, it seems to have been printed in newspapers across Sri Lanka.
Why are the naysayers so upset about the ad? Because the tagline misrepresents the value of the role fathers play. The ad has been deemed "disgusting", "perveted" and "Shameful" by Twitterati.
Seriously! What the hell does this mean?? How, what, Why, was the copywriter thinking?! Really disgusting #triumph ad pic.twitter.com/k1zL6GHB1U

The brand immediately took to social media and apologised for the error. But what do you think? Is Triumph's message out of line? Sound off in the comments section.
