Priyanka Chopra takes a break from shooting to promote social cause
The actress who is the brand ambassador of UNICEF, started her collaboration in 2008
Priyanka Chopra who is the Indian brand ambassador of UNICEF interacted with children and highlighted the importance of Iron Folice Acid Tablets which help fight and prevent anemia.
She posted a series of tweets beginning with “Looking forward to spending the day with @UNICEFIndia. Bringing attention to a big problem with a simple solution!Stay tuned. More info soon.” The actress who was inspired by the stories said, “It is our responsibility to take care of health of young, especially girls in country.”
The actress started her collaboration with UNICEF in 2008. Since then, she has recorded a series of public service announcements championing girls’ education and celebrating the 20th anniversary of the Convention on the Rights of the Child. She has also participated in a media panel discussion to promote child rights.
On work front, the actress is gearing up for American thriller television show ‘Quantico’. The show produced by ABC is all set to release this fall. She is currently shooting for Prakash Jha’s ‘Gangaajal 2’.
