The SIMMA function will be held at World Trade Centre, Dubai, on July 6 and 7
Curtain-raiser for the South Indian International Movie Awards (SIIMA) was held at a star hotel in Hyderabad on Wednesday evening. Daggubati Rana attended along with actresses Shriya Saran, Pooja Hegde, Kriti Kharbanda, Sharmila Mandre and Adah Sharma.
Rana says that this is the fourth consecutive year that he is attending the SIIMA ceremony and it’s a great opportunity to meet all the actors from the four South Indian film industries. He feels that the late ANR should give be given Best Actor Award for the film, Manam. “Many good films are competing this year from all the four languages,” he says.
The SIMMA function will be held at World Trade Centre, Dubai, on July 6 and 7. Shriya Saran, too, is excited to participate at this awards function. “I was there in all the earlier functions and this is a good place to meet people from other industries,” says Shriya.
Pooja Hegde is excited too as she is going to perform at this awards function for the very first time. In this two-day function this year, the organizers announced that there will be close to twenty performances by the actors. Before leaving, Rana took a selfie with all the actresses that attended the curtain-raiser.
