Rajinikanth, Ranjith off to Malaysia for their next

Rajinikanth will be likely leave for Malaysia by the first week of August to shoot for his next film which will be directed by Ranjith of Madras fame. A majority of the film is set in Malaysia and Singapore, and the team will also be shooting in Chennai for one of the upcoming schedules.
There are rumours that Rajinikanth will be seen as an aged don in the film and story will also touch upon the political goings-on of Singapore and Malaysia where there are large Tamil populations. Kalaiarasan has a very strong role to essay, though it’s not yet clear what character he'll play,” said a source from the film’s unit. Attakathi Dinesh is also part of the cast, besides Prakash Raj. The film will be produced by Kalaipuli S Thanu and will have music scored by Santhosh Narayanan.
