Living a rich life!
This co-founder of an online firm sources indigenous products from across the country
Bengaluru: She might be a part of Bengaluru’s well-known Genomal family, but the young ladydoesn’t like to make a big deal about it. Nimrita Genomal’s love for travel and discovering all things unique drove her to co-founding Eazelly, a collective of all things handmade, heart-made and thoughtfully sourced. She along with her co-founder and sister-in-law Sonal Ahluwalia share common interests and love for art, home decor, fashion, designs and more.
An alumnus of Sri Bhagawan Mahaveer Jain College Centre for Management Studies states, “The inspiration stems from our passion of discovering all things unique, such as statement pieces that stand out on you or in your home. It was a lovely coincidence, a random phone call with Sonal, where we echoed the same passion and sentiment for all things unique. For us, what are important are the people, artistes, creators and entrepreneurs behind the products. Our interaction with all of them has been inspiring, conversational and has an intriguing story behind their craft and products. Our objective is to be the one-stop collective for all things hand-made, heart-made and thoughtfully sourced catering to a certain niche audience. We like to talk about handmade entrepreneurs or small teams that require some kind of skill or expertise to make couture, artistic, and crafty pieces and heart-made and capture entrepreneurs passion, personality or individuality, have a fascinating story and are environmentally and socially considerate in their manufacturing process.”
When she is not at work, you can find her on the golf course, or traveling to fascinating cities across the globe or simply soaking up the sun at some beach side resort! “
On a personal level, Nimrita likes to indulge in experiences. She believe travel is the one expenditure that truly makes you richer. “Inventing in experiences to me is luxurious living. Each time I visit another city or country, I feel enriched and recharged. I come back with a whole new outlook to life and adventures to talk about. I have floated over the landscape of Cappadocia on a hot air balloon, gone skiing down the pristine slopes of St. Moritz, white water rafting and paragliding in Rishikesh and ziplining amidst the coffee plantations in Coorg,”she says and gets nostalgic about her childhood.
“I remember spending winters with my grandparents at their hotel in Mussoorie, going horse riding, overlooking the stunning snow-capped Himalayan mountains. I will always cherish meeting the author Ruskin Bond at his quaint residence. I used to love his stories and was extremely thrilled to meet him. He showed me his ancient type writer where all the magic happened, in that moment all his stories I had read just came to life,”she adds
