Mahesh Babu has proved it once again that he is the king of overseas collections. His latest film Srimanthudu is on its way to breaking records as it surpassed Pawan Kalyan’s Atharintiki Daredi in just two days.

After Baahubali, Mahesh’s film tops the highest grosser list abroad. Trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted: Telugu film #Srimanthudu embarks on an IMPRESSIVE start in USA. Thu previews + Fri + Sat: $ 1,753,698 (Rs 11.18 cr). WOW! (sic).

In two days, Srimanthudu crossed the $2 million mark, whereas Pawan’s Atharintiki Daredi had collected $1.92 million. At home too, the film is going strong and has crossed Rs 50 crore in three days and it will most probably go on to become the best of the star’s career till date. Interestingly, Eros International also tasted its first success in Tollywood with this film though they had earlier associated with a few other films.
