The highlight of my trip was the graduation ceremony of our son Aditya Fernandes from Central St. Martins, London. He graduated in Graphic Art and studied Moving Images.

After that we went to The Alexander McQueen Exhibition at the Victor and Albert Museum. McQueen also studied at Central St. Martins and always used the V&A for intensive research for his fabulous creations over the years. I bought a tote bag from his collection which I will always treasure.

We also went to the Fingals Cave, on the island of Staffa in Scotland. It’s a ferry ride from Oban, to the island of Mull, and then a boat trip to Staffa. These islands form the Inner Hebrides.

4 We ate a lot of fresh seafood — oysters, drank ale, and bought a couple of stokes hand knitted from wool from the most adorable black- faced, fat, wooly sheep of the island.
