Shweta Basu Prasad to star in a horror-thriller next

The untitled project is said to be a Marathi-Bengali bilingual film

Mumbai: Shweta Basu has left her controversial past behind and started anew. The actress made a small appearance in a digital short by YouTube comedy collective ‘All India Backchod’ a month ago and has reportedly bagged another project.

According to reports, Shweta will be seen in a horror-thriller next, which is directed by Amit Khanna. The yet-to-be titled project is said to be a Marathi-Bengali bilingual film.

The film will be shot extensively in Nashik and Kolkata, reports state. The National Award-winning child artist is also working with Anurag Kashyap’s Phantom Films in the creative department, and simultaneously completing her on documentary about classical music, titled ‘Roots’.
